Hope you are well. 3 weeks have simply flown by, and so far we’re all having a fantastic time. Graham has been terrific in helping us all to settle down.
The group that’s been assembled took a little time to gel, but now we’re all getting to be really close and become a well oiled unit.Soon training will be over and we’ll be tackling school groups head on. It was a good call to come at the time we did as summer here wouldve been a bit too unbearable but its starting to cool off at the right time. Coming at the start of Ramadan was a bit of a culture shock as we found it hard not to be seen drinking in public when the temperatures reached 45 degrees! We dont want to offend anyone of course, but it took some getting used to. Also the time needed for the training has worked out to be just right. We’re attempting to domesticate Kieran right now; cooking, cleaning and washing clothes werent his forte so we’re each taking it upon ourselves to educate him. Quite funny really!
No signs of homesickness yet, but its startin to dawn on some people that we’re here for a very long time indeed.
But as we’re all settled, its starting to go very quickly.
Hope things are good in the Uk
Jonny
